PDO Thread Lift
The Non-Surgical Face-Lift
Benefits of a PDO Thread Lift:
Lifting of skin and fatty tissue – this is achieved with the physical and mechanical effects of the threads.
Collagen stimulation and cellular renewal – the introduction of the threads and the PDO put the body into repair mode, sending collagen building agents to the area. This helps improve skin texture, repair elasticity and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Skin Tightening – loose or sagging skin is visibly tightened by contracting fat tissue with the threads
In the past, face-lift surgery was the only way to address problems caused by facial skin laxity. Although injectable compounds and skin resurfacing works for many patients until face-lift surgery becomes absolutely necessary, not everyone is willing or able to have surgery. If you are a member of this group, you'll be happy to know that a new type of procedure: "a thread lift" is now available to fill in the gap between noninvasive facial rejuvenation and face-lift surgery.
What is a thread lift?
A thread lift is a procedure to produce a subtle but visible "lift" in the skin. The patient's loose facial skin is not surgically removed, rather, the cosmetic surgeon suspends it by stitching up portions of it. This pulls the skin back slightly and lifts and tightens the face. This procedure not only tightens the skin but threads also combat aging. They provoke the body's healing response, causing the body to direct large surges of collagen, which helps to keep our skin strong, voluminous and supple, to treated areas. In other words, this process provides ongoing and progressive rejuvenation for the facial tissues.
What are the advantages of having a thread lift instead of a face lift?
The biggest advantage of having a thread lift rather than a face lift is the greatly reduced recovery time associated with thread lifts.
Thread lifts are low risk, thanks to how noninvasive they are. There is virtually no risk of scarring, severe bruising, bleeding or other complications after having a thread lift.
Because thread lifts are much easier to perform than face lift surgery, they are much more affordable.
It's important to understand that while no lifting technique can produce permanent results, face lift surgery will usually produce longer lasting results than a thread lift. The results of face lift surgery can last up to a decade, whereas a thread lift will generally last from one to three years*.
